Refund Policy
Refunds
Okay. Our return policy is a little strict and here's why. We don't sell anything that has any moving parts to speak of. We take pictures, we list measurements, even weights sometimes. We do everything we humanly can to give you every detail of what you're thinking of purchasing.
How our refund process works...
Step 1. Notify us within 14 days of receiving the item of the defect/damage with the reason for the requested refund (see valid reasons below) along with photographic evidence (trust me on this, it's better for everyone involved if you have pics). Send emails to headpunk@thepunkary.com
Step 2. We either approve/deny the request. If it meets the criteria laid out here? It'll be approved and a refund will be issued via a reversal of the original form of payment within 24 regular hours of the approval (we usually do things like right away but if we're away from home base and checking emails and doing stuff like that then it may take us awhile to get to our computer etc.)
Step 3. You get your refund and you're happy... well... happier. Also, also - we do refund the entire amount including the original shipping costs because hell, it sucks having something you buy break on you.
Why no returns? Because if it's busted, it's of no use to us and shipping it back costs you or us even more money and no one wants that.
Below is a list of acceptable/unacceptable reasons for returns.
Stickers A sticker tearing is not an acceptable reason for refund. All of our stickers are printed on printable vinyl. They are hella hard to tear. So you really gotta try to do so. So... yeah.
Decals The clear transfer tape not coming away from the decal is an acceptable reason for refund. The clear transfer tape damaging or leaving behind a sticky residue on the decal is an acceptable reason for refund. Decals not adhering to a surface is not an acceptable reason for return. Decals damaging a surface is not an acceptable reason for refund. Decals fading or peeling is not an acceptable reason for refund. We list what all we know of our decals are approved to be stuck on.
Clothing Of Any Kind Clothing of the wrong size is not an acceptable reason for a refund. Accidentally ordering the wrong size is not an acceptable reason for a refund. Clothing "fitting wrong" is not an acceptable reason for a refund. Item being the wrong color or "not the color you thought it'd be" is not an acceptable reason for a refund. The image/decal/words/printing on the item coming off later/peeling in the future etc is not an acceptable reason for a refund. Clothing that frays or comes apart, has a hole in it somewhere, or the printing bleeds is an acceptable reason for a refund.
Buttons/Pins Buttons or Pins that arrive damaged or busted, the backing or closure broken is an acceptable reason for a refund. Buttons or pins that arrive with a backing that is not the kind you expected is not an acceptable reason for a refund. Buttons that come apart is an acceptable reason for a refund. Loosing the backing of a pin is not an acceptable reason for a refund.
Jewelry Jewelry turning the skin green is not an acceptable reason for a refund unless the listing specifically states that it will not, as in it states that it's sterling silver or it's gold or it's tungsten or it's surgical steel or something like that. Jewelry findings coming loose (jump rings coming apart enough that pieces also come apart) is not an acceptable reason for a refund and here's why - it's easy to fix; this does not mean the piece is damaged or defective - this can happen with any piece of jewelry. Resin jewelry peeling or coming away from its bezel is an acceptable reason for a refund. Resin jewelry losing its shine or luster is not an acceptable reason for a refund since I'm not even sure how this would happen other than something being spilt on it. Cabochons falling out of jewelry pieces is an acceptable reason for a refund. Glass cabochons breaking after use is not an acceptable reason for a refund. But glass cabochons arriving broken is an acceptable reason for a refund.
Keychains Like jewelry, jump rings having come open enough for pieces to slip off is not an acceptable reason for a refund. Vinyl peeling off of acrylic tiles or pieces is not an acceptable reason for a refund. Most are sealed and those that aren't are specified that they aren't. Tassels falling apart after use is not an acceptable reason for a refund. Poofs coming off of their chains is not an acceptable reason for a refund. The reason for both tassels and poofs not being covered is because they were never intended to be used as keychains and I don't know about you, but I can be pretty hard on my keys. Glass cabochons breaking after use is not an acceptable reason for a refund. (I've been using one as a keychain for about a year and it doesn't even have a scratch yet...) Glass cabochons arriving broken is an acceptable reason for a refund. Scratches forming on any parts of the keychains after use is not an acceptable reason for a refund. Main split rings (keychain rings) being "too hard to open" is not an acceptable reason for a refund. Clasp style keychain attachments failing within the 14 day refund period is an acceptable reason for a refund.
Magnets Glass cabochons breaking after use is not an acceptable reason for a refund. Separation of the pieces is an acceptable reason for a refund. Glass arriving broken is an acceptable reason for a refund. Non-glass covered magnets: tearing/rolling/folding of edges is not an acceptable reason for a refund. Magnets being "too strong" or "too weak" is not an acceptable reason for a refund as this is subjective.
Coasters Tiles arriving broken is an acceptable reason for a refund. Separation of layers is an acceptable reason for a refund. Resin coating chipping/cracking after use is not an acceptable reason for a refund. Resin coating arriving chipped/cracked is an acceptable reason for a refund. Resin bubbling/discoloring after use is not an acceptable reason for a refund. The main reasons for this is because I have no idea what could cause this or what might have happened to them while in use. Basically - I don't know what you did to it.
Resin Pieces Resin pieces arriving cracked or broken is an acceptable reason for a refund. Resin pieces being "sticky" or "tacky" is not an acceptable reason for a refund since I cure all resin for 7 days before it's even listed for sale and it's never listed if it's tacky or sticky or even catchy in any way and resin isn't like wax, it won't get that way again after it's cured. Resin pieces not lining up correctly is not an acceptable reason for a refund since some pieces will state this in the listing or it wouldn't be listed at all. Resin pieces arriving warped or bent is an acceptable reason for a refund though it has to be to a noticeable degree. Resin pieces "smelling weird" is not an acceptable reason for a refund as this is subjective.
I think that about covers it. I've tried to think of everything that could possible happen, no matter how slim of a chance or how unlikely. And while this may seem like its splitting hairs here, it's important because small businesses barely get by as it is and we have to be fiercely protective of our resources. While a few sales may seem like no big deal to the average consumer, to a small business owner, they can literally be the difference between making a bill and missing it. Too often in our now society, that's forgotten.
All of the above "after use" clauses are with the understanding that it takes place within the 14 day refund window. Anything after that window is null and void at that point. The line has be drawn somewhere, unfortunately. You understand, of course.
